Online plays a major part in gaming systems these days, whether its actually playing games online or using it for media services. As a result of this, there often needs to be maintenance and PSN is going to have just that again in the very near future.
Sony has revealed that PSN will be undergoing maintenance in a couple weeks on March 2 on certain parts of the network from 12:30 am to 2:30 am. They say they are continually trying to reduce the duration of their maintenance periods, so only two hours is more than acceptable.
This maintenance period estimations are often longer than it actually ends up taking, but the good news is that while they are doing maintenance, you will be able to play most of your games and applications.
The three areas that they do specify will absolutely not be available during the maintenance are Account Management, the PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Video.
The details for this update on the official status website for PSN recommends you making sure that your PS4 is activated as your primary system before the downtime so that you can still access your digital games if by chance the network completely goes down at some point in that time span.
