A lot has been talked about the resolution and framerate of recent games. Ubisoft promises however that Rainbow Six Siege will be a smooth 60fps when it comes out.
Ubisoft announced on Twitter that Rainbow Six Siege will be 60fps “on all platforms”. The game was announced back at E3 2014 in June and will be out for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This is good news for shooting fans as 60fps ensures the gameplay will be smooth and accurate.
This does not confirm the resolution that Rainbow Six Siege will have however. These days most gamers prefer to play new games at 1080p. It’s likely the PC version will be 1080p or higher, but the PS4 and Xbox One versions could be different.
Ubisoft announced last week that Asassin’s Creed Unity will only be 30fps and 900p on PS4 and Xbox One. This caused a huge debate among many gamers. Ubisoft even had to defend this by saying that 30fps feels more “cinematic” and that 60fps doesn’t look natural.
If it’s confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege is a resolution lower than 1080p on PS4 and/or Xbox One, we can be sure there will be more debates among gamers…
