A few days ago we highlighted that critics were not too kind on the Ratchet and Clank movie that just came out. It looks like audiences didn’t care about the movie either as its Box Office earnings were horrible.

Box Office Mojo reported on the earnings for many movies this past weekend. It’s one week before Captain America: Civil War comes out in North America so not a lot of blockbusters were released. Ratchet and Clank tried to make use of this opportunity, but it didn’t do so well.

The video game movie only ended up making $4.8 million in its opening weekend. It was the lowest grossing new release that week which is disappointing to say. The movie had a budget of $20 million so it’s going to have a tough time trying to break even.

Not to mention the movie has a very limited release worldwide. The Ratchet and Clank video game sold well in regions such as Australia and New Zealand, but the movie has no release date in those countries yet.

The PS4 game sold so well and was loved by pretty much everyone that played it. The movie on the other hand is having the opposite effect as nobody is watching it and it has poor reviews.
