Capcom is all about bringing back older Resident Evil titles lately, with the Resident Evil HD Remaster, and RE 0 HD Remaster hitting last year. Now they have announced that even more games are getting upgrades, bringing Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 to PS4 and Xbox One throughout 2016.
REÂ 4 is, of course, an all time classic video game that has been released on multiple platforms over its life, however it still hasn’t made its way to the more powerful systems of PS4 and Xbox One. RE 5 was a decent followup, taking the series more into action territory and adding in some great co-op mechanics. Resident Evil 6 was…well, it was a game. It prompted us to suggest rebooting the whole series, but a lot of people enjoyed it nonetheless.
Interestingly, Capcom will be releasing these three games in reverse order through the year, with Resident Evil 6 hitting on March 29th, RE5 coming this Summer, and RE4 arriving in Fall 2016. Pricing details weren’t shared at this time.
The big question now is, is this a lead up to something even better? Could Resident Evil 7 be just around the corner, possibly releasing this Holiday season after all three of these games have become available?
