Capcom and Valve are teaming up to bring their zombie games Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 into one universe. Well, one universe that resides on two different games. Resident Evil 6 players on PC will fight characters from Left 4 Dead 2, and Left 4 Dead players will encounter enemies from Resident Evil 6.

Resident Evil 6 players will be allowed to select one of the four surviors from the cast of Left 4 Dead 2. The characters will be available in a special mode in the game called, The Mercenaries: No Mercy. Each Left 4 Dead character will have a custom loadout created just for the mode in Resident Evil 6. The announcement also says that Left 4 Dead’s Witch and Tank will appear in the mode as well. The new mode in Resident Evil 6 will be downloaded automatically on PC, and will become available on April 5th.

Left 4 Dead 2 will see Resident Evil 6 characters in return. Three characters from the Resident Evil universe: Napad, Ogroman, and Lepotitsa have been brought to life using the Steam Workshop tools, and will be implemented into the game this spring.
