Resident Evil Revelations 2 Sees Slight Delay

by Damian Seeto

Capcom has confirmed it has delayed the release date for Resident Evil Revelations 2.

Don’t worry Resident Evil Revelations 2 fans, the game has only seen a delay of one week. The one week delay was due to some “additional polishing work and gameplay optimization“.

Resident Evil Revelations 2’s first episode was due on February 17th in North America. This has now been delayed until February 24th. This means every other episode has been delayed by one week as well.

For PlayStation owners in North America, the release dates for Resident Evil Revelations 2 are as follows: February 24th, March 3rd, March 10th and March 17th.

The European PSN, Xbox and Steam release dates for Resident Evil Revelations 2 are: February 25th, March 4th, March 11th and March 18th.

The retail version of Resident Evil Revelations 2 is coming March 18th in North America, and March 20th in Europe. The retail version comes with all of the four episodes.

Capcom delaying Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a smart move. Too many games released in 2014 ended up buggy messes upon launch. Some of the biggest culprits being Assassin’s Creed Unity, Driveclub and Halo: The Master Chief Collection just to name a few.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be available for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. A PS Vita version will be out later this year too.
