Rocket League Trade System Update Fixes Major Player Complaint

Rocket League has been growing and changing a lot since it was released a couple of years ago. What began as a simple car/soccer game has added new cars, cosmetic items, crates, and a robust trading system. This trading system is the subject of a new Rocket League update that’s heading out now from Psyonix. It won’t impact how you trade with other players though, but it does fix a major complaint that players have had with the game for some time.

Formerly, the Rocket League trade system allowed you to put together five items, trade them in, and receive one item of a higher rarity class. The problem was that this was limited to just Uncommon and Rare items, with many players stuck with a pile of duplicate Very Rare boosts and other cosmetics. Now, those players will be able to trade those items in and receive the higher level, allowing for everything up to Import and Exotic quality items.

“Trading in five of your Very Rare drops will net you one new Import Painted Body or Boost,” explains Psyonix. “These items are painted versions of the classic cars and boosts from the original game and they always come painted.”

Psyonix is looking to add new items to the game, allowing players to collect even more cosmetic items for their cars. Watch for a new update some time soon.
