Rockstar Games is working on a next-gen game that is scheduled to be released before the end of the fiscal year for Take Two Interactive.  The company which released their earnings statement this afternoon, have revealed to investors that the company’s next new game is on the way.

Take Two did not reveal what this game is, but there’s already been plenty of speculation as to what it might be.

Given the success of GTA V on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, an Xbox One and PS4 release of the top-selling game of 2013 would be the lead candidate.  Though it’s not the only possibility.  Rockstar’s other popular games like Red Dead Redemption have recently hit headlines, with talk of a PC port finally make it out for release.  Then there are other, less mass market titles like a sequel to Bully that could be in the works.

Then lastly, Agent, which has been rogue for years, could finally make an appearance on the PlayStation 4?

We’ll have to wait and see what Take Two and Rockstar Games officially announce going forward, but if the timeline holds, Take Two’s fiscal year ends next March.
