EA Sports’ second entry in their UFC game series is set to come out in March and Ronda Rousey is one of the headliners and cover stars. She has already experienced a strong interest in starring as Marvel’s Captain Marvel in a film and now has offered up another role she’d love to tackle, this time a gaming character.
Rousey may have been knocked out a few months ago and was kind of out of the limelight for awhile, but she’s started to show up again as of late, including plenty of appearances and interviews.
She has always let it be known that she is a gamer herself, including being a big fan of Pokemon and other games. To help promote EA Sports UFC 2, she spoke with GameSpot where she talked about a number of gaming related topics.
Rousey spoke about her ways of designing her characters in World of Warcraft and the potential for her to do some Twitch streaming, but the most interesting question came when they asked her what video game based movie she would most like to star in if it happened.
“I’ve always wanted to be Samus. That would be badass. I love how people found out later that it was a hot chick on the inside. And then most of the day you’re in a suit, so you can just hang out and eat donuts and be the star of Metroid. I hope they make a movie out of that.”
Metroid is certainly a movie franchise that seems ripe for a film adaptation, though the history of video game movies hasn’t been the strongest. Having someone as popular as Rousey pushing for something like that has to help though, so maybe one day we’ll see it happen.
