With Spider-Man reportedly going to steal the show in Captain America: Civil War, now could be a perfect time to reveal a new video game based on the character according to a new rumor.

This rumor comes from NerdLeaks who tweeted: “It’s been too long since last leak. Here’s one. Sony is working at “Untitled Spiderman PS4 Project”. Trailer incoming (E3 2016?).”

NerdLeaks are the same guys that leaked all of the God of War 4 artwork and their website got shut down because of it. The website’s track record is favorable so it’s possible the rumor is true.

Another Twitter user found the source for the rumor and posted a resume for a motion capture actor. It’s an untitled PS4 Spider-Man game possibly involving Sony. It might be PlayStation VR related because Activision has the rights to the Spider-Man video game franchise.

It’s a good idea to release a new Spider-Man video game as it’s expected Tom Holland’s performance in Captain America: Civil War will go well with fans. Critics are impressed by his performance and are are calling him the best portrayal of the character already.

With E3 happening in June, we might hear more about this new Spidey game very soon. Hopefully it’s true as the character will get popular again.
