Fans have gathered to start a petition less than a week after Konami have annunced the cancellation of the Silent Hill reboot simply titled, Silent Hills.

The reboot was to have Hideo Kojima involved and famed Hollywood producer, Guillermo del Toro as well. It was also set to star Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) as the main character. Yauheni Zinkevich, a fan from Germany took it upon himself to create a Change.Org page and has since garnedered almost 60,000 signatures. In it he writes a letter to both Kojima and Del Toro.

Dear Hideo and Guillermo,

Hearing the cancellation of one of the most anticipated horror games is about the most heartbreaking thing horror fans had to swallow this year.

Since the first sight of the P.T Demo it was instant love, and it burned into the minds of everyone that this had to release at some point.

Although the reasons are not yet announced I am begging you along with countless others: Please continue the Development on Silent Hills, if the issue is money related, we would love to see a Crowdfunding campaign like Kickstarter to ensure you are getting all the financial help there is! We´d love to see it happen at some point and want to thank you for all the great games you have released so far!

 Greetings
-Yauheni

Hopefully, this makes it to the intended parties involved and maybe, just maybe we will someday see Silent Hills return in some form or another. Considering Konami holds the property it may be very unlikely.
