Skyrim Hearthfire arrives on PC, still no word on PS3 DLC

by | @AttackFanboy | on October 4, 2012

The second Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC has arrived on PC today with the Hearthfire expansion. In the Skyrim Hearthfire DLC you can purchase land for the first time, build a home from the ground up and expand your property from a one-room home to a sprawling complex, capable of housing a lab, garden, stable, armory and other wings of the home. The content gives you your own drafting table, workbench and other tools to utilize the natural resources available to you to fund these expansions.

The Skyrim Hearthfire expansion is available on Steam for $4.99 right now.

PlayStation 3 Skyrim fans are still out in the cold with this latest expansion, Bethesda having no new details on when or if Skyrim DLC would ever arrive on the console. Working through persisting problems, Bethesda’s official statement on the status of Skyrim DLC on the PS3 is that there are performance issues on the console that is prohibiting the release of the Dawnguard and Hearthfire expansions.
