Shuhei Yoshida (Sony’s Worldwide Studios President) has admitted he was surprised to see the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Shenmue 3 at E3 2015.
During an interview with GameReactor UK, Yoshida admitted he didn’t know that both the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Shenmue 3 will be announced at E3 2015.
Yoshida (much like most of us) was blown away by the double whammy that was the announcements for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Shenmue 3.
Yoshida said he’d “been working hard for The Last Guardian” and was excited to reveal it to the public at E3 2015. He confessed that he didn’t know about “the other two” games.
Much like the rest of us, Yoshida didn’t know about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Shenmue 3 until the trailers went up. That was when he was “blown away“. He is also proud these two games are making millions of gamers “very happy“.
As many people will know by now, Shenmue 3 was in hiding for many years. Many people expected the game would never be made as the franchise was left dead for over a decade. Its announcement was unexpected.
Then of course we have the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. This announcement literally made people scream and cry tears of joy. Much like with Shenmue 3, many people didn’t think it was going to ever happen.
