Sony Raises The Trophy Limit on PlayStation 3

Since the inception of trophies, Sony had previously had a level cap that stopped players from progressing past level 50.  Today, it has been confirmed that the cap has been raised with some dedicated gamers pushing well past that previous limit.

Why exactly Sony lifted the cap is unknown, and where Sony has placed the cap, if there is one, has not been seen yet either.

The top Trophy holder on the PlayStation 3 currently sits at level 56 since the recent limit change. As for where that new cap is, with these types of over-achievers on the case it shouldn’t take long to find out.
