Sony Santa Monica has New Property in the Works

Sony Santa Monica is cooking up something new in California.  The studio which is responsible for the God of War franchise, is working on an unannounced property as was revealed in a recent job listing for the company.  Looking for senior level designer, the job description details a new game coming from SSM.  The elephant in the room here is that God of War 3 left fans clamoring for an announcement of the next God of War game.

There have been plenty of rumors this year concerning the possibility of God of War 4, or a spin-off of the franchise.  Sony has just recently released the God of War: Origins Collection.  The Origins collection bundles two God of War titles:  Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, which originally released on the PlayStation Portable.

Sony Santa Monica left the door open just enough to warrant all of the recent speculation, but this new development project doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with the God of War franchise.
