Square Enix took to Twitter this morning with a special promo code for Omikron: The Nomad Soul. The studio stated, “In Memoriam to David Bowie’s legacy, we are giving away free digital copies of his video game Omikron: The Nomad Soul, for a limited time only.” This follows the musicians passing at the age of 69, January 10th of this year.
Developed by Quantic Dream and Published by Eidos Interactive (now Square Enix Europe), the game was originally launched for PC in 1999, and Sega Dreamcast in 2000. For those who are unaware, Omikron: The Nomad Soul features voice acting and music scores by Bowie. He is also said to have had an influence on the games storyline and design.
The promo code is valid until January 22, or while supplies last. Since the promo was announced, Square Enix has been experiencing a high volume of customers, even having to put up a waiting list on the game for a period of time. The store has since been restocked and the waiting list removed. That said, it would be safe pick up the game sooner rather than later.
You can receive the game for free by visiting the Square Enix Online Store here (NA) or here (EU). Enter the promo code, “omikron”.
