Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has received an update from DICE that has effectively eliminated some of the grind for multiplayer credits. The update mostly deals with adjustments to the economy and progression of the game, increasing the end-of-round payouts of credits across the board — even more so for players who play well.  On top of that, they’ve increased the number of credits that you can earn in the Arcade Mode by 3X per day.  Other changes that’ll be found in today’s update include a buff to Daily Login Crates, which will provide more crafting materials than before.
DICE says that the economy changes for Star Wars Battlefront 2 are “some initial steps toward making much larger changes.” Battlefront 2 players are reporting that the credit increase is actually implemented in the game at the time of writing and it’s working as expected. While not all are entirely happy with the changes as they don’t address the rash of AFK grinders or the F2P elements like daily caps on progression in certain modes, but it’s certainly a start.
The additional crafting materials that players receive will ultimately allow them to build the characters that they want to play with, faster. While the credit bump seems like a ‘the rich get richer’ move, all Star Wars Battlefront 2 players should have a better opportunity to unlock the content that they want.
The changes come just ahead of the release of downloadable content that’s tied directly to the upcoming The Last Jedi movie. This update will soon roll-out that will allow players to align with either The First Order or The Resistance to compete for rewards in the game. The Last Jedi Season will offer new, free heroes, maps, and vehicles to players.
