With Star Wars: Battlefront only months away, EA has released brand new images of concept art from the free DLC map the Battle of Jakku, which will be available on December 1st, 2015. The Battle of Jakku is set to take place shortly after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, as the New Republic and the Empire engage in a fierce battle with its remaining forces.
D.I.C.E. revealed that players will able to use the wreckage of ships and debris on the planet as cover, while air and land combat takes place. The events of this battle are planned as a setup for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which releases in theaters December 18th, 2015. Fans are said to find out the circumstances of the crashed Star Destroyer from the early trailers of the movie.
Star Wars: Battlefront will release on Xbox one, PS4, and PC on November 17th, 2015. I was able to play the game at E3 twice in two different game modes, and from what I observed Battlefront is looking to be one of the best shooters of 2015, and a faithful recreation of the universe that fans love.
