Much like Battlefield 4 which is made from DICE and EA, next year’s Star Wars: Battlefront game is also set to be using the Battlelog service.
Battlelog is like a companion social networking service that allows gamers to see their statistics, read up on the latest news, customize their weapons and more. People use Battlelog on Android or iOS devices.
Evidence that Battlelog will be coming to Star Wars: Battlefront can be seen on the official website for Uprise. Uprise is the company that developed the Battlelog service in the first place. Scrolling down the page, it suggests that Battlelog is soon coming to Battlefield: Hardline and Star Wars: Battlefront as well.
It’s possible Uprise could be working on something different for Star Wars: Battlefront, but the Battlelog service seems like the most logical thing. Maybe some type of other companion app is heading to Star Wars: Battlefront if it’s not Battlelog. It’ll be cool if a futuristic looking map would be utilized in the game.
For now, we’ll just have to wait on official announcements for Star Wars: Battlefront from DICE or EA for more information. Little is known about the game other than it’s a FPS set in the original trilogy. It will be out late 2015 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
