Electronic Arts has a number of Star Wars games on the horizon. This includes a new Star Wars: Battlefront from DICE, a highly anticipated continuation of one of the most popular Star Wars game series of all-time. There’s also a game in development at Visceral, one that recently added former Naughty Dog writer, Amy Hennig.

These games and all aspects of Star Wars storytelling moving forward will be connected. That is according to a recent declaration on the Official Star Wars website. According to the announcement, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has formed a story group to oversee and coordinate all creative development for the franchise, whether that be through games, books, comics, and other forms of media.

“We have an unprecedented slate of new Star Wars entertainment on the horizon,” said Kennedy. “We’re set to bring Star Wars back to the big screen, and continue the adventure through games, books, comics, and new formats that are just emerging. This future of interconnected storytelling will allow fans to explore this galaxy in deeper ways than ever before.”

EA hasn’t revealed much about their upcoming Star Wars games at this point. The announcement of EA securing the rights to develop and publish Star Wars games came just prior to E3 2013, and a quick tease of Battlefront was all fans got from the show. With E3 2014 rapidly approaching, we could get more information about Star Wars: Battlefront, and possibly what Visceral is up to as well.
