Star Wars: Battlefront will arrive in Holiday 2015, Electronic Arts has announced today. While an exact release date for the game has yet to be confirmed, Star Wars fans should expect to be playing the Star Wars shooter by Christmas of next year if EA’s history is anything to go by.
The Holiday 2015 release should come just in time for the theatrical release of Star Wars: Episode VII. The J.J. Abrams directed movie will hit theaters in mid-December.

While fans have yet to see any of the game thus far, the looming release date means that 2015 will be chocked-full of new details about the DICE -developed shooter. With Battlefield: Hardline being confirmed for an early-2015 release, as well as a Battlefield 5 being confirmed for 2016, Star Wars: Battlefront is shaping up to be EA’s big fall shooter next year.
Those waiting for details about the game shouldn’t have too wait much longer. A fall release likely means that the floodgates will soon open on Star Wars: Battlefront details, and it wouldn’t be surprising if events like VGX had the first footage.
Given their history and timing for fall shooters, fans can likely expect the game to arrive in late October or early November.
