EA and DICE have released update patch 1.03 for Star Wars Battlefront to coincide with the release of the “Battle of Jakku” DLC.
There have been several gameplay improvements to the game plus the usual balancing and UI adjustments. The update patch is out now for those of you who want to download it.
The update patch notes are: “General bug fixes for vehicles and physics improvements, Game modes balancing tweaks, HUD UI adjustments, Audio optimizations, General crash and stability fixes, Online traffic performance improvements, Various text fixes for all languages, General bug fixes for both Missions and Multiplayer”
The update should be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It clocks in at around 300MB. It’s a good idea to download it since you cannot do much without the internet with this game.
As for the Battle of Jakku DLC, you may have to download it separately on the PlayStation Store. After that, you install and reboot the game and you should see it.
The Battle of Jakku DLC is only available for people that pre-ordered the game for now. The rest of the people that bought Star Wars Battlefront will have to wait next week. It’s free so everyone should be able to play it by next week.
