EA has just announced that they will debut Star Wars Battlefront at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA next month. A post on EA’s Star Wars hub doesn’t reveal much about what to expect from the game, but just about anything will be more than what we’ve heard thus far.
“We could not thing of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it.”
Star Wars Celebration takes place between April 16 and 19. It’s likely that we’ll get to see the game in action for the very first time. DICE has been quietly working on Star Wars Battlefront for some time. EA announced Battlefront back at E3 2013 after signing a partnership to exclusively make games for the popular science fiction franchise and Lucas Arts was shuttered.
EA says that there will be more information in the coming weeks, and that there is “exciting news” about all the EA Star Wars games coming soon.
