Update: Steam Appears To Be Down At The Moment

After Pokemon Go servers have been down for the better part of a day, it appears Steam is down today as well.

It appears Steam is down worldwide for everyone as people on NeoGAF have commented that they cannot log in. If you search “Steam Down” on Twitter, there are a lot of people saying that they are having problems too.

Steam is usually reliable and it normally doesn’t go down. The last problem with Steam occurred back on Christmas Day 2015 when people were logging into each other’s accounts for some odd reason. The problem was fixed promptly but it was scary at the time.

As of time of writing, Steam Support has not made an announcement via Twitter that the services are down. We may have to wait for a while to see what the problem is.

Hopefully Steam comes back up very quickly. These things usually sort themselves out in a day or so. If you want to play your Steam games, maybe try doing something else until it’s working again. We will try our best to update this post if anything good happens.

Update: Looks like Steam was only down for 20 minutes. You can see on the official website that there was a decrease of online players around 8:00am EST today. If things are still not going well, the official website will tell you if it’s up or down.
