Team Ninja doesn’t believe that releasing Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is “milking” the franchise.

News10 had a chance to interview Tom Lee who is the creative director for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. He talked more about the new stuff that has been added to the game, and why fans should get excited about this release.

News10 noted that Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is the fourth edition of the game. The original game only came out in 2012 and fans were not happy with Team Ninja milking this one game. Lee however defended this practice.

He believes Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is what the fans actually wanted. He says there has always been a huge demand for DLC packs for the previous iterations of the game. Because of the fast pace of demand, they decided to release “Last Round” as it includes all of the content that was released previously. He concluded that it’s all “based on demand“.

News10 also asked about the future of the franchise after Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. Lee was hesitant to answer anything about Dead or Alive 6 or even another volleyball game. He promised though that this game will be the last version of Dead or Alive 5 to come out.
