Nippon Ichi’s charming adventure Liar Princess and the Blind Prince has got its first video preview, in which we can finnally see the game with its gorgeous visuals in movement, and get a better sense of its gameplay mechanics. The game is a 2D side-scroller in which players control a wolf monster who can take the shape of a princess. The wolf hurts by mistake a lonely prince she encounters in a forest, and sets on a journey with him looking for a witch who can restore his sight.
Along with the trailer, the studio has also given more details on the mechanics, which focus on solving puzzles in which the princess needs to switch between its wolf and human forms, in order to open new paths and guide the prince through them. And if anyone gets stuck in one of the puzzles, the game even offers you a skip option so you can just relax and enjoy the story.
The studio has also put a lot of emphasis on the visual style of the game, resembling the look of a picture book, with even many elements being hand-drawn by designers.
Liar Princess and the Blind Prince launches for PS4, PSVita and Nintendo Switch on May 31 in Japan. Watch the teaser trailer below.
