Bandai Namco has now introduced a new character that will be in Tekken 7 at TGS 2014.
Madcatz has been streaming coverage of TGS over the weekend and Tekken 7’s director Katsuhiro Harada is there with them on their panel. He revealed a new character that will be in the game who will be a female.
The new Tekken 7 character is named Catalina and she is South American. She is a friendly beginner type that players can use. It’s possible she could be like Christie and Eddie that many beginners like to use. She also looks a bit like Christie too.
Catatlina is said to be talkative and very vocal. Her official fighting style is Savate. She will also be playable during the Tekken 7 locations tests Bandai Namco are holding in Japan in October. From October, we may see some of the first gameplay footage which runs on the amazing Unreal Engine 4.
Catalina is now the third character to be officially part of Tekken 7. Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima have been confirmed already, and it’s being teased to be their final appearances. Either one or both of them could die.
No platforms have been announced for Tekken 7 yet, but a 2015 console release is expected.
