If you live in Japan, you’ll be happy to know that Tekken 7 will be out in arcades next month.
This is according to the Twitter page from Super Nova Fukushima. Super Nova Fukushima is an arcade place over in Japan. They made an announcement on the arcade release date for Tekken 7.
Japanese people will be able to play Tekken 7 from February 18th, 2015 at Super Nova Fukushima. Apparently, they will be the first place in the world to receive the arcade machines for the game.
Tekken 7’s director, Katsuhiro Harada, tweeted that this is the “pre-launch” arcade version of the game. The “full” launch version of the game is expected to come out in more arcade places in March.
Even though Japan is getting Tekken 7 first, Bandai Namco plans to bring arcade cabinets to events around the world. North America is a priority as players need to practice their skills before EVO 2015 starts in July. Tekken 7 will be the first game in over 10 years at EVO that will be contested using arcade machines.
Despite the release date announcement for the arcade version of Tekken 7, Bandai Namco is still keeping quiet on when we can see the game on consoles. Hopefully it can arrive later this year, but we’ll just have to wait for an official announcement for now.
