As the Nintendo 3DS’s lifespan winds down, not only are there less and less new games coming to the handheld console, but now it seems that previously 3DS-exclusive games are getting remastered and released on home consoles. At least, that’s the case with The Alliance Alive.
The Alliance Alive is a JRPG that was originally released as a 3DS exclusive in Japan in 2017 before coming to the West in 2018. Now, the game is getting geared up for another release, this time for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. This new version of the game is called The Alliance Alive HD Remastered and, as you could probably expect from its new title, will include new HD renderings of its graphics. This HD version will become available in the West sometime this fall. Physical Limited Edition copies of the Switch and PS4 versions are currently available to pre-order and will include a physical copy of the game, paper figures of nine of the game’s characters, an art book, and the game’s soundtrack.
In The Alliance Alive, humanity has been decimated and enslaved by Daemons. Thus, humans from the land’s various regions must come together to take on their Daemon overlords and free humanity from their rule.
