The Reason Hyrule Warriors Legends For 3DS Is Being Made

by Damian Seeto

A reason has now been given as to why Team Ninja are porting Hyrule Warriors over to the 3DS with the recently announced Hyrule Warriors Legends.

Famitsu (via Nintendo Everything) interviewed Yosuke Hayashi who is the producer for Hyrule Warriors.

The reason Hyrule Warriors Legends is being made for 3DS is because the “Wii U version got a positive reception” explained Hayashi. 3DS owners were asking them if they could play the game too.

Shortly after the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors was released last year, work already started for Hyrule Warriors Legends for 3DS. Hayashi said “many Zelda fans” asked for the port to happen.

It was also noted that Hyrule Warriors Legends is already 60 percent complete. Nintendo only noted the game has a 2016 release at E3 2015. Although it should be close to being finished very soon since it’s basically a port and not an entirely new game.

Hyrule Warriors Legends adds a few new characters for 3DS owners to enjoy. It will also add new content for them too at no extra cost. There’s still no word if the extra content will be added later as DLC for the Wii U version.
