The first phase of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Beta has officially come to a close. The servers have been shut off for the time being, but when the beta returns players can expect some new content to be added to it as well as a response to player feedback.
One of the biggest points of contention to the Black Ops 4 Beta was in the Body Armor mechanic in the game. Treyarch has previously said that they were keeping the feature, but apparently it’s going to be getting a serious look before the game releases later this year.
“We know this is a hot topic,” says Treyarch. We did say that we wanted to leave this alone until more content is unlocked, and we’ve had more time to crunch the data from all of the content in the game. For now, we are making some early tweaks which we’ll discuss later.”
Body Armor tweaks are one of things that players will see in the second weekend of the Black Ops 4 beta though. That alongside some tuning adjustments to specialist equipment and weapons, a new map, as well a new mode that Treyarch has been pretty quiet about. You can expect changes to Scorestreaks as well as to the movement mechanics of the game, which includes a reduction in the jump height and jump height after subsequent jumps.
The Black Ops 4 Beta will return on Friday August 10th, 2018 and this time it will head to Xbox One and PC alongside the PlayStation 4.
