Two New Mortal Kombat X Characters To Be Unleashed Next Week

Two new Mortal Kombat X characters are to be revealed next week according to the game’s creator.

Ed Boon tweeted out earlier today that an upcoming Mortal Kombat X Twitch demonstration will happen next week. New characters and gameplay will be shown on January 29th.

He revealed in a separate tweet that exactly two new characters will be revealed for Mortal Kombat X. It’s unknown at this stage whether the characters are returning favorites, or totally new characters altogether.

12 characters have been revealed for Mortal Kombat X so far. The new characters are: Cassie Cage, D’Vorah, Ferra/Torr and Kotal Khan. Kotal Khan is the new leader of Outworld and has been described as the game’s main antagonist.

The returning favorites in Mortal Kombat X are: Kano, Kitana, Kung Lao, Quan Chi, Raiden, Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Goro is also in the game too, although you will have to pre-order Mortal Kombat X first to make him playable.

Ed Boon has teased that Mortal Kombat X’s roster will be evenly split between new and old returning characters. It’s expected the full game will have 24 characters in total, although this number could be larger.

Mortal Kombat X comes out from April 14th for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
