In a marketplace where games are meticulously promoted for months, sometimes years in advance, Ubisoft has recently announced Grow Home, as title due out in early-February.  Self-described in a press release to be a “quirky, experimental climbing game” in development at Ubisoft Reflections.  Grow Home will release on Steam for PC on February 4th, 2015.

Grow Home features a strange open world full of floating islands, caves, and waterfalls, done in a minimalist art style.  Players take control of BUD, an excitable robot who’s on a mission to scour the galaxy for a new species of plant to supply oxygen for his home world.  Players will reshape the planet and create landscape that allows them to climb to new heights.  The game features unique climbing controls and challenges players to get higher.

The game is based on two pillars of gameplay:  Climbing and Exploration.

Look for it on February 4th.
