Solar Fall Games’ Kickstarter campaign for their title Umbra has smashed passed its base funding goal of $225,000.
With 14 days to go, Umbra has surpassed its base funding goal, which means the campaign is a success and Umbra will be funded. The game which is an action RPG offers randomly generated worlds and will be available in English and French. Daniel Dolui Lead Programmer and Game Director at SolarFall Games had this to say alongside the announcement of hitting the initial funding goal:
“We’ve raised over $232,000 so far; to each and every one of our 6,701 backers, press and Let’s Players and Twitch streamers – thank you! With your kind words and coverage, we’ve funded early! Reaching the stretch goals will enrich Umbra and we are really excited be announcing our plans.”
Speaking of stretch goals the development team has put together a decent few, including a number of Kickstarter exclusive items: the first of which a Kickstarter exclusive green necklace which grants bonus gold and experience when playing has already been reached.
Here are the non Kickstarter exclusive item stretch goals, which will be available to all players upon release if the goals are reached:
- $240,000 Implement Gamepad Support
- $260,000 Spanish, German and Russian Localization
- $280,000 Expanded Side Quest Pool
- $295,000 Global Leaderboards
- $320,000 Multiplayer: Hero Defence Mode
- $360,000 Playable Female Character
Solar Fall Games are keen to point out a couple of things about their stretch goals. They have tweaked their stretch goals for the “highly requested” feature of Gamepad support. Also the $360,000 stretch goal of a female character “won’t just be a re-skin of the male hero”. They will be tweaking the game to fully implement female characters.
