Uncharted 3 will not feature single player DLC to further the story post-release. Â With story telling being one of their strong suits, it might come as a surprise that Naughty Dog isn’t looking to capitalize on this portion of the game, but it seems that they have a good reason. Â The studio says that they’d rather be working on their next game.
Apparently, the amount of labor that it takes to put together a single peice of DLC in the single player portion of the game is significant. Â Probably because “Dialing back our ambition is difficult” said Arne Meyer of Naughty Dog. Â Judging by the quality of the Uncharted 3 single player experience, it’s easy to see how this could be a problem.
Don’t think that Naughty Dog will be abandoning Uncharted 3 after release. Â The company has plans for post-release support of the game, with cooperative and other multiplayer content scheduled to arrive after November 1st, just don’t expect more single player goodness..
