Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s UK Sales Were Very Impressive

by Damian Seeto

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End launched last week and people in the UK snapped up copies in droves. The PS4 exclusive was expected to sell well and it didn’t disappoint.

As reported by GFK Chart-Track, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End easily was the number one best selling game of the week. Not only that, but it had the best launch of the entire Uncharted series.

Uncharted 3 was the previous best of the series, but A Thief’s End eclipsed that game’s debut week by over 66 percent. This is very impressive since there are far less PS4 owners compared to PS3 owners back in November 2011 when Uncharted 3 launched.

With launch week sales so strong, it’s possible Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End could go on to be the best selling game in the franchise overall. The series as a whole has sold over 28 million copies.

DOOM 2016 came in at second place and it was another great showing. The new DOOM game managed to sell 67 percent more copies than DOOM 3 did in its first week on sale.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 continues to be a big seller by holding onto the number 3 spot. Ratchet and Clank PS4 is also a strong PS4 seller by being in fourth position. Rounding out the top 5 is Tom Clancy’s The Division.
