Unlocking Everything In For Honor Can Cost More Than $700

For Honor released last month to solid praise for its fun gameplay, but definitely has had a rough time since with server issues and other problems. Like many games these days, microtransactions were included in the game and one person has calculated just how much it would cost to get all of the in-game gear and it is rather ridiculous.

For Honor features 12 different characters for you to play with across the three different factions of Vikings, Knights, and Samurai, with each of them playing differently from the others. Due to this, each character has their own distinct unlocks that can be unlocked by using steel, which can be purchased or earned in-game, but it sounds like its going to take quite a lot.

According to PC Gamer, bystander007 on the For Honor subreddit calculated just how much you would more than likely need to unlock everything for each character. This includes Emotes, Executions, Effects, Outfits, and Ornaments for each character.

According to bystander007, it takes about 91,500 steel to unlock everything for one character, so for all 12 it would cost 1,090,000 in total. For those that were looking to just buy steel with real money, they calculated that it would require approximately 7.32 of the $100 steel packs to get everything, so technically $732.

This is pretty ridiculous that it takes that much just to unlock everything in the game. The good news is that you can also earn steel in-game, but the problem is that it will take you a long time to do it without paying. For casual players that play 1-2 hours a day for 5-7 days a week, the estimate is that you would earn around 1,200 steel per day. By calculating this, it would take 915 days to get everything, which is about two and a half years.

Even if you combine the two, you’re still having to play an insane amount and still pay a lot of money. This does not reflect too well on the game, as it makes it near impossible to get everything in the game without paying a ton of money or playing every day for two and a half years.
