Upgrade Xbox 360 Games to Xbox One

A lot of people are going to have to make some hard decisions come this fall when the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 arrive. Namely in which games they are going to purchase for their new system, and which to pick up for their old one.  A lot of third party games will be arrive for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.  This includes some of the big holiday releases like Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed 4, and others.

Good news is, GameStop is running a promotion that allows you to purchase any of these games, and trade up to an Xbox One version of the game at a later date.  For eligible games in the program, players can upgrade from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One versions of the game for $9.99.  Trading in specific games within 30 days will net purchasers $50 in “upgrade credit” on the selected titles.

The games in the program include Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

To qualify for the program, the purchaser must be a Power Up Rewards member at the time of the purchase of the Xbox 360 game.  The games must be purchases within the first 30 days of its release at Gamestop.  You can find more details on the next-gen promotion here.
