A lot of people are going to have to make some hard decisions come this fall when the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 arrive. Namely in which games they are going to purchase for their new system, and which to pick up for their old one. Â A lot of third party games will be arrive for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Â This includes some of the big holiday releases like Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed 4, and others.
Good news is, GameStop is running a promotion that allows you to purchase any of these games, and trade up to an Xbox One version of the game at a later date. Â For eligible games in the program, players can upgrade from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One versions of the game for $9.99. Â Trading in specific games within 30 days will net purchasers $50 in “upgrade credit” on the selected titles.
The games in the program include Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
To qualify for the program, the purchaser must be a Power Up Rewards member at the time of the purchase of the Xbox 360 game. Â The games must be purchases within the first 30 days of its release at Gamestop. Â You can find more details on the next-gen promotion here.
