Valhalla was one of the most popular maps in Halo 3, it saw numerous Forge recreations in Halo: Reach, and will also be found in Halo 4… just by a different name. Ragnarok is the name of the new map, and while it was always fun to pilot Banshees and drive Warthogs through the massive map, it looks like its going to be big enough for Mantis mechs as well.

343i Describes Valhalla re-invented in a recent post on the official Halo blog. “Ragnarok is set in an area where some scientists believe that the Forerunners placed spire beacons within deep chasms to protect them from the offworld debris and other external threats, while others believe they used the steep environment’s natural harmonics to amplify signals when firing deep into space.”

Halo 4 is due for an early November release, exclusively on the Xbox 360.
