The ending for Ant-Man (more specifically the mid-credits scene) means a certain character in the movie will have a big future in upcoming Marvel movies.

If you have not seen the movie or know nothing about the comic books, there are spoilers ahead. Read at your own discretion.

As reported by ComicBookMovie, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has now commented what the future holds for Ant-Man’s Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) in upcoming Marvel films.

If you have seen the mid-credits scene for Ant-Man, you’ll know that Dyne will become The Wasp. Keige confirmed that she will appear in “some of the films” they have already announced for Phase 3.

The Wasp suit was seen briefly in Ant-Man as Dyne’s father Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) tells her to basically not hold back from her destiny. Keige hinted that this will be a “big part of one of our upcoming films”.

We know Ant-Man himself (Paul Rudd) has signed on to be a part of Captain America: Civil War. The Wasp might not appear in that movie as we have not heard of any news that Evangeline Lilly being in the movie yet. She could appear in the numerous other Phase 3 movies though.

The other films in Marvel’s pipeline includes: Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Avengers Infinity War: Part 2 and Inhumans.

Are you excited to see The Wasp appearing in other Marvel movies in the future?
