The Wii U is looking to shake things up a bit come November. The console will introduce the first tablet gaming controller to consumers, as well as TVii features, and a social network called Miiverse. Nintendo is specifically excited about Miiverse, and believe that it is the killer app for their new console.

According to a recent interview with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, the executive believes that “it will prove to be a true killer application for the system”. In the interview, Fils Aime outlines the Miiverse even further.

“I think that Miiverse will pleasantly surprise people. As the network grows and the installed base grows, it will prove to be a true killer application for the system, and I say this loving what we have done with Nintendo TVii and loving all the games. Until you try it and experience it, you may not totally understand it.”
