Microsoft has announced the new games that Xbox Live Gold members will be able to get for free in August with the Xbox Live Games with Gold program. There is always debate about which service gives players better games, either GwG or Sony’s PlayStation Plus, with PS+ usually coming out ahead. However, this month offers some pretty fantastic games for Xbox 360 and Xbox One fans.

Starting with the Xbox One, subscribers will be able to download and play Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes during the entire month of August. Following that will be How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition, which will be available from August 16th to September 15th.

On the Xbox 360, Xbox Live Gold members will be getting two classic first-person shooter with Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. These games will be staggered, with Metro 2033 being available from August 1st to the 15th, and Last Light running from the 16th to the 31st.

The addition of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes should please those that have asked for more AAA style games with the Xbox Live Games with Gold program. This is only enhanced by the addition of the Metro games, which are truly enjoyable shooters with a unique world and atmosphere.

It will be interesting to see how PS+ responds with their games for August 2015.
