A new app is being released on Xbox Live from Pizza Hut, which allows Xbox 360 users to order pizza from the console’s dashboard.  Like other Xbox Live apps, you’ll need to download the program to use it, but once you do, you’ll find a robust suite of pizza ordering tools.

You can customize your pizza to your liking, place an order for delivery or carry-out from the nearest location, with either the standard controller or by issuing the app Kinect commands.  Pizza Hut and others have been offering similar tools online for years now, but this is the first time we’ve seen Microsoft partner with a company to deliver food to their users.

“Xbox Live’s Major Nelson told Polygon that “Pizza Hut has always showed affinity for new ways to order products.  Now we can do it on console.  The app was a logical progression.”

The Pizza Hut app will be available for Xbox Live members on Tuesday, April 23rd.  Those who order their first pie before May 6th will receive a 15% discount on their first purchase.
