Fans don’t have to wait too much longer to know the list of Xbox One backwards compatible games that are coming in January 2016.

A fan asked Microsoft’s Phil Spencer on Twitter when we can see the next list of Xbox One compatible games. It might just be a matter of days until we find out.

Spencer replied: “Have a couple more games doing the final run through on, wanted to wait until we had the full list, not too much longer.”

It looks like the announcement is coming soon, but Microsoft is waiting until the final few games have been added. It will be interesting to see how many games are added. There isn’t a certain quota that they have to follow through like the free Xbox Live Gold games.

The timetable for announcing backwards compatible games vary month-to-month as well. The first announcement came on November 12th with 104 games. The second announcement was near to December 19th and only a fraction of games were added to the list. It might be a few more days until the January games list is fully revealed.

There are still several Xbox 360 games left to be added. Skate 3 was announced last year, but is not compatible yet. Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 are missing too since the first game is available.
