The PS4’s winning streak comes to an end in North America as the Xbox One was the best selling console in the month of November.

Microsoft confirmed the Xbox One’s success releasing a statement to IGN. They said the Xbox One was the best selling console “in the US and UK.” They also revealed that November set a new record for number of units sold for the Xbox One console.

The PS4 had been the best selling console in North America for the majority of 2014. Starting from January 2014, the PS4 has beat out the Xbox One 10 months in a row. Not even the release of games such as Titanfall and Forza Horizon 2 could dethrone Sony.

You could say the Xbox One gained lots of momentum in November thanks to its price drop. The console is now only $349 which is $50 cheaper than the PS4. There were also some sweet bundles released for Black Friday that helped boost sales.

November also saw the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One too. Online issues aside, the franchise is still very popular and the game gives you access to the Halo 5 beta. Sony only released LittleBigPlanet 3 in November.
