Splatoon was one of the most popular games for the Wii U, so the announcement of its sequel was one of the big selling points when Nintendo unveiled their newest console, the Switch. Splatoon 2 came out today (July 21) and is a Switch exclusive. The game is likely to become one of the console’s best-selling games, right up there with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Kotaku reports “hellish lines” forming all over Japan today for a chance to buy the game, not dissimilar to the huge lines in Japan recently to buy the Switch itself. If the game sells out before you can get a copy, fret not; there’s a way you still might be able to play it, if only for a short while.

Nintendo of America’s official Twitter account tweeted today that people will be able to play Splatoon 2 in-store at select GameStops across the country for a very limited time. The time the game is available to play is only tomorrow (July 22) from 12:00PM to 3:00PM. Additionally, if you show up to play the game during that time, you can receive a free, color-changing Splatoon 2 cup. You better hurry, though; those cups are likely to be in short supply and the game itself will likely be hard to get a chance to play or buy.
