It looks like the choices you will do in The Legend of Zelda Wii U will have an affect on the gameplay environment.

ABC News recently interviewed Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto and he talked more about how the development is going with The Legend of Zelda Wii U.

The Legend of Zelda Wii U is being advertised as Link going back to his roots as Nintendo really wanted to bring the charm of the original games. Miyamoto said they really wanted to bring back the “open-world concept“. The team aimed for the design of the original Zelda games and this is the direction the new game is based on.

In The Legend of Zelda Wii U, Nintendo has brought back things such as Epona and the bow and arrow. Miyamoto said it was important though to allow the player to “free walk around” and choose how they want to explore the game world.

Miyamoto said one of the things they are working on in The Legend of Zelda Wii U is a new gameplay element. He said the “world will change and be affected” by the choices that the player will make in the game. That’s all he teased on the topic as he said he couldn’t say more on it.
