According to recent rumors, a remastered edition of L.A. Noire is possibly in the works, and could come with VR support and a first-person mode similar to that in Grand Theft Auto V.
Rumors began spreading in January when known insider Yan2295 tweeted that the alleged remaster would be coming to Nintendo’s system. “According to what I heard, Rockstar might be releasing a remastered version of L.A. Noire on the Nintendo Switch.”
Direct Feed Games then backed this up on Twitter. “Regarding LA Noire Remaster, the title is sounding like it’ll come to Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. Release slated for late summer.”
Even though it didn’t end up making an appearance at E3 2017, it looks like even more rumors are afloat. WWG writer Liam Robertson, who has a good track record with accurate rumors and leaks, has cited three sources related to Rockstar who indicated that VR features for L.A. Noire have allegedly been prototyped for the PlayStation version of it. On top of that, he has heard that a first-person mode is being planned for all versions of the game.
Considering that Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed until 2018, it could be some time before we ever see an L.A. Noire remaster.
