Elon Musk said he will pay the legal costs for any victims of Jeffrey Epstein who come forward and speak the truth about their abusers. The Tesla and SpaceX boss claimed he wants to help people who are scared of being sued by powerful figures.
According to Mediate, Musk said clearly, “I will pay for the defense of anyone who speaks the truth about this and is sued for doing so.” His offer means victims won’t have to worry about expensive legal battles if they name their abusers. This could help people speak up without fear of facing wealthy legal teams.
Musk made his statement after responding to a post on X from conservative commentator Matt Walsh. Walsh had shared a public service announcement that aired on Super Bowl Sunday. The video featured women who say they were abused by Epstein and his associates.
Musk’s offer comes after victims call for justice in emotional video
In the video, the women asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to support them publicly. They held up photos of themselves from when the abuse allegedly happened. “After years of being kept apart, we’re standing together,” they said. “Because this girl deserves the truth. Because we all deserve the truth.”
Walsh said all files the Department of Justice has on Epstein should be made public. But he questioned why the women haven’t named their abusers yet. He pointed out that their campaign “curiously didn’t start until the exact moment [Joe] Biden left office.”
Walsh also said the women could avoid lawsuits by giving names to their supporters in Congress. Members of Congress could then read the names on the floor, which would protect everyone from legal action. “Why?” Walsh asked, questioning why they haven’t used this option.
Musk jumped in at this point with his offer to pay legal costs. His promise removes the money problem that stops many victims from speaking out. This isn’t a small amount of help but full coverage for legal defense against powerful lawyers. Musk has recently faced legal scrutiny in France over separate matters.
Musk’s own name appeared in Epstein documents released in late January. He criticized mainstream news outlets, calling them “far-left propagandists.” He said people “who are actually guilty” were focusing too much on his connection to Epstein. Musk said he knew he would be “smeared relentlessly” just because his name was mentioned in the documents. The billionaire has clashed publicly over Epstein connections with other tech figures before.
