Daedalic Entertainment have developed a few notable titles such as The Dark Eye series, 1954: Alcatraz and the first Whispered World title. Now comes word that the latest entry, Silence: The Whispered World 2 is set to release on PC/Mac and now Xbox One.
This will mark Daedalic Entertainment’s first foray into next-gen development with the release of Silence: The Whispered World 2, on Xbox One. The adventure title follows Noah, who is about to lose his sister Renie to war. He follows her and soon finds himself alone and back in Silence, a world he once traveled to as Sadwick the clown. He soon aligns himself with rebels who fight against the false Queen.
The quest promises to be an emotional and visually stunning adventure full of mystery. Daedalic Entertainment’s studio manager had this to say about the Xbox One announcement, “We think the new generation of consoles offers a platform that is ideal for indie development, and with the new gameplay we’re introducing to the adventure genre with The Whispered World 2, adventure games now also can be a good fit to consoles,” The trailer below manages to set up what players can expect graphically and even some story info as well.
Silence: The Whispered World 2 is set to release on PC/Mac and Xbox One in early 2015.
